Sally has over 10 years’ HR experience working for high-profile companies, such as the BBC, Red Bee Media, Guardian News Network, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and MTV. Sally also has experience of working across the Finance, Hospitality and Property Investment sectors. Having moved from London to her hometown of Harrogate in 2016, Sally set up her own company, Limelight HR, to provide SMEs with the level of support and expertise often only available to big businesses with their own HR department.
Sally has dealt with numerous cases of bullying and harassment over the years, on both an informal and formal basis and at Employment Tribunals. No two cases are ever the same and Sally has found a flexible, considered and people-focused approach has been key to reaching a positive outcome for all involved. Sally has also used her extensive skills and experience of managing bullying and harassment cases to train company managers and fellow HR practitioners on how to handle the complexities and legalities of the process.
Working in both the public and private sectors, Claire delivers HR and development support to a range of clients, from small organisations to large corporate teams. Claire enjoys a variety of roles, including the implementation of national qualification frameworks, team and management development, graduate programmes and has a special interest in mediation.
Successful organisations have thriving relationships that allow employees to operate at their most productive level. But sometimes conflict can arise even in the most successful organisations, and the cost of unresolved conflict can be huge. The effects can be seen in dysfunctional teams, the departure of key employees, and even reputational damage.
As an ACAS trained mediator, Claire uses mediation as an intervention to manage and resolve conflict within the workplace. It is a simple but effective process that allows opportunity for every voice to be heard. For those involved in the conflict, they are able to maintain their sense of self-worth, resolve the problem and work to repair the relationship.
